Eastman Cooke was selected by Moses Medical to build out a new 4,400-square-foot Article 28 Diagnostic & Treatment Clinic at 871 Westchester Avenue in the South Bronx. Located in a long-vacant storefront, the single-story facility now features nine examination and diagnostic rooms, an ultrasound suite, lab, nurses’ station, reception area, conference room, and ADA- compliant restrooms.
Our team led the full interior renovation, including new partitions, suspended ceilings, upgraded finishes, lighting, and the installation of a new rooftop HVAC unit. We also modernized the electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler systems to meet current Department of Health (DOH) standards. With no architect- specified finishes, Eastman Cooke worked directly with the client to manage selections—ensuring high-quality results without delaying progress.
Completed on time and within budget, this project exemplifies Eastman Cooke’s commitment to delivering on client expectations while navigating regulatory requirements. Most importantly, it brought essential healthcare services to a neighborhood in need and reactivated a commercial space that had been vacant for over 12 years.
